QA Automation Engineer (Contract)
Location: Plano, TX (Remote)
Akkodis is seeking a QA Automation Engineer for a contract role. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring end-to-end quality across mobile and backend systems through robust automated testing.
Rate Range: $50/hour to $53/hour (negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors).
QA Automation Engineer Job Responsibilities Include
- Design, develop, and maintain automated functional, regression, and end-to-end test scripts using Java-based automation frameworks.
- Build, enhance, and maintain mobile automation frameworks for Android and iOS using tools such as Appium, Espresso, or XCUITest.
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing and fast feedback.
- Perform API and backend testing using REST/SOAP, Postman, and automation frameworks like Rest Assured.
- Identify, log, track, and validate defects using JIRA, ensuring timely resolution and quality verification.
- Collaborate closely with development and QA teams to improve test coverage, automation efficiency, and overall product quality.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 4--7 years of experience in QA automation, with a strong focus on mobile and backend testing.
- Hands-on expertise in test automation using Java/Kotlin/Python and mobile automation tools such as Appium, Espresso, UiAutomator, or XCUITest.
- Proven experience integrating automation frameworks with CI/CD pipelines and performing API/backend testing using REST/SOAP tools in agile environments.

Pay Details: $50.00 to $53.00 per hour
