About NEIS, LLC
NEIS, LLC has been a leader in the insurance audit and loss control prevention industry since 1945. We are seeking a Premium Auditor to join our growing team.
About the Role
Premium Auditors examine the financial records of businesses insured by commercial property and casualty insurers to ensure compliance with laws and regulations. Key responsibilities include identifying potential fraud and verifying adherence to regulations. This is a hybrid position, requiring travel to audit locations 2-4 days per week within your assigned territory, with the remaining days worked from home.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct insurance premium audits for Workers Compensation, General Liability, and Automobile policies.
- Audit policyholder records and apply manual rules and company standards.
- Prepare for audits by identifying necessary information and records.
- Schedule audits to maximize efficiency.
- Communicate with insured parties via phone, email, and mail to arrange appointments.
- Examine policyholder records, gather data, determine correct business classifications, and write clear descriptions of operations.
- Prepare comprehensive audit documents and explain findings to the insured.
- Communicate audit results to the home office.
- Travel to multiple audit locations.
- Perform remote audits 2-3 days per week.
Job Requirements:
- Associate's Degree or equivalent, plus two years of premium auditing experience, or a comparable combination of education and experience, is highly desired.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial documents.
- Proficiency in general PC use, including Microsoft Excel and Word. Experience with Visual Audit is a plus.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with customers and staff.
- A valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.
- Maintain automobile insurance with specified bodily injury limits.
Compensation and Benefits:

- Salary: $44 - $46 per billable hour.
