About NEIS, LLC

NEIS, LLC has been a leader in the insurance audit and loss control prevention industry since 1945. We are seeking a Premium Auditor to join our growing team. Premium Auditors examine the financial records of businesses insured by commercial property and casualty insurers to ensure compliance with laws and regulations, identify potential fraud, and verify adherence to regulatory standards. This is a hybrid position, primarily home-based with required travel for on-site audits 2-4 days per week within your assigned territory.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct insurance premium audits for Workers Compensation, General Liability, and Automobile policies by auditing policyholder's records, and applying manual rules and company standards.
  • Prepare for audits by identifying necessary information and required records.
  • Develop schedules to maximize efficiency.
  • Communicate with insured clients via phone, email, and mail to arrange audit appointments.
  • Examine policyholder records, gather data to determine correct business activity classifications, and write clear descriptions of operations.
  • Prepare comprehensive audit documentation, discuss findings with the insured, and report results to the home office.
  • Travel to multiple audit locations as needed.
  • Work remotely for 2-3 days per week, conducting remote audits.

Job Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent experience, plus two years of premium auditing experience, or a comparable combination of education and experience is highly desired.
  • Proficiency in reading, analyzing, and interpreting financial documents.
  • General PC skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word. Experience with Visual Audit is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with clients and staff.
  • A valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.
  • Must maintain automobile insurance with bodily injury limits of at least $100,000 per person and $300,000 per accident, or $300,000 combined single limit.
