About NEIS, LLC

NEIS, LLC has been a leader in the insurance audit and loss control prevention industry since 1945. We are seeking a Premium Auditor to join our growing team. Premium Auditors examine the financial records of businesses insured by commercial property and casualty insurers to ensure compliance with laws and regulations. Key responsibilities include identifying potential fraud and verifying adherence to regulations. This is a hybrid position based from home, with required daily travel to audit locations within your assigned territory (averaging 2-4 days per week).

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct insurance premium audits for Workers Compensation, General Liability, and Automobile policies by auditing policyholder's records, and applying manual rules and company standards.
  • Prepare for audits by identifying necessary information and required records.
  • Develop schedules to maximize efficiency.
  • Communicate with insured clients via phone, email, and mail to arrange audit appointments.
  • Examine policyholder records, gather data to determine correct classifications for business activities, and write clear descriptions of operations.
  • Prepare comprehensive audit documents, explain findings to the insured, and report results to the home office.
  • Travel to multiple audit locations.
  • Work remotely for 2-3 days per week, conducting remote audits.

Job Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent, plus two years of premium audit experience, or a comparable combination of education and experience is highly desired.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial documents.
  • Proficiency in general PC use, including Microsoft Excel and Word. Experience with Visual Audit is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with clients and staff.
  • A valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.
  • Maintain automobile insurance with bodily injury limits of at least $100,000 per person and $300,000 per accident, or $300,000 combined.

Compensation and Benefits:
