This role requires an onsite presence at the Banfield Pet Hospital headquarters in Vancouver, Washington, with a hybrid work schedule (3 days/week).

Summary and Qualifications

The Sr. Analyst, Finance plays a crucial role in supporting key business processes, including strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, and business analysis & reporting. This position provides essential decision support tools to leadership teams and fosters cross-functional partnerships, while managing significant Capex and Opex budgets.

Key responsibilities include serving as a finance business partner to the Real Estate & Construction team to support fleet strategy execution and collaborating with the Marketing team to optimize advertising budget allocation.

Essential Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Embody the Five Principles of Mars, Inc. in daily work and team interactions.
  • Analyze the overall business model and propose recommendations to enhance organizational growth and value.
  • Independently monitor and manage substantial Capex and Opex budgets.
  • Enhance Banfield's profitability analysis infrastructure to drive growth and value creation.
  • Conduct ROI and payback analyses for strategic investments aimed at profitable growth.
  • Collaborate with Finance teams across the Mars Veterinary Health ecosystem to improve processes and systems.
  • Utilize reporting, planning, consolidation, and business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI) to deliver insights and updates.
  • Document business processes and workflows.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of processed information and the proprietary nature of systems and processes.
  • Partner with Hospital operations/finance teams to manage hospital operating budgets and guide strategic investments.
  • Directly impact financial results, strategic initiatives, and speed to market for critical business solutions.
  • Perform other job duties as assigned.

Special Working Conditions

  • Ability to work at a computer for extended periods.
  • Proficiency in reasoning, memory, mathematics, and English language skills (reading, writing, speaking) is required.
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions and solve problems with multiple variables.
  • Physical capability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, and lift/move up to 25 pounds.
  • Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm-hand-finger dexterity, and visual acuity for keyboard use and equipment operation.
  • Work environment with moderate noise levels.
  • Environment where pets are present.

Experience, Education and/or Training

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Intelligence, or Finance required.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in Finance, Accounting, and/or Business Intelligence required.
  • Strong understanding of Finance and Accounting Principles required.
  • Oracle experience preferred.
  • Anaplan experience preferred.
  • Essbase experience preferred.

Salary Range

The salary range for this position is $75,029 - $112,543.

The listed pay range is a general hiring range for the area. The specific salary will be determined based on the candidate's experience, skill level, abilities, education, and may vary by location and schedule.
