Job description

Organisational Design Lead

Contract: 12‑month fixed‑term

Location: Flexible / Hybrid working across the Bromford Flagship LiveWest geography (East, West and South West of England)

Closing date: Friday 8 May 2026

This is an opportunity to play a central role in shaping the future organisation at a pivotal moment of change.

As Organisational Design Lead, you'll work at enterprise level on complex organisational design and operating model challenges as part of a large‑scale integration programme. Partnering closely with senior leaders, HR and an external design partner, you'll help define how the organisation is structured for the long term --- not just for integration.

The role combines strong organisational design practice with pragmatic decision‑making, senior‑level facilitation and a focus on designs that genuinely work in practice.

Why this role matters

  • You'll help shape future‑state operating models and functional structures that enable performance, leadership effectiveness and customer impact
  • Your work will influence how teams are designed, how work flows, and how accountabilities are set across the organisation
  • You'll operate at senior level, supporting leaders to make informed, evidence‑based choices during a period of significant change

This role is about bringing clarity, coherence and confidence to organisational design decisions.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Leading end‑to‑end organisational design and Target Operating Model activity for functional areas within the integration programme
  • Facilitating senior leadership discussions to define future purpose, critical capabilities, structures and ways of working
  • Developing and presenting clear design options and scenarios, underpinned by insight, data and sound OD principles
  • Acting as a trusted advisor to leaders, helping them navigate complex choices and trade‑offs
  • Applying qualitative and quantitative insight --- such as FTE baselines, workload assessment and benchmarking --- to inform design decisions
  • Working in close partnership with HR, Change and Programme teams to support the transition from approved designs into implementation

What You'll Bring

  • Strong experience in organisational design, workforce design or operating model transformation
  • Confidence working with senior leaders and facilitating complex, sometimes ambiguous discussions
  • Excellent analytical and conceptual thinking skills, with the ability to translate complexity into clear, practical design solutions
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with a collaborative and constructive influencing style
  • Comfort working at pace in evolving environments where priorities and detail may still be emerging

Desirable, But Not Essential

  • Experience in housing, social impact or other regulated sectors
  • Familiarity with organisational design or change frameworks (e.g. Galbraith Star Model, McKinsey 7S, systems thinking)
  • Understanding of workforce transition or consultation considerations

Why join us?

You'll be part of a high‑profile integration programme with senior visibility, working on meaningful organisational design that will have a lasting impact well beyond the life of the programme.

This is a role for someone who enjoys thinking systemically, influencing thoughtfully, and shaping organisations for what's next.

Please submit your application through our website by Friday 8 May 2026. Early applications are encouraged, as we may review applications throughout the campaign.
