Position Overview

The Development Manager is a vital member of CureNFwithJack's growing fundraising operation, responsible for identifying prospective new donors and building and managing relationships with those and stewarding current donors who believe in the importance of our mission. As part of the CureNFwithJack team, the Development Manager plays a hands-on role in advancing our mission. This position is responsible for managing written communications, stewardship, campaign execution, and helping lead major events.

This position offers meaningful responsibility, close collaboration with senior leadership, and the opportunity to build strong fundraising skills. This role requires someone who can translate our mission into compelling donor conversations and repeat contributions and who is excited to grow an emerging nonprofit toward sustainability.

Starting June 9 of 2026, this position is fully remote. Living in the Atlanta-area is a plus, but not required.

Role Details:

  • Full-time position
  • Salary based on experience
  • For events, some weekend and evening work is required

Key Responsibilities:

Stewardship and Donor Management

  • Manage and grow individual donors, including retention, upgrades, acquisition, and re-engagement
  • Maintain strong relationships after the initial gift or sponsorship to encourage renewals, upgrades, and multi-year commitments
  • Plan and execute bi-annual fundraising campaigns such as Year-End and Giving Tuesday
  • Prepare donor research, meeting materials, and stewardship follow-up to support major donor cultivation
  • Provide timely communication, recognition, impact reporting, and engagement opportunities for sponsors and donors
  • Support and grow donor giving societies and related engagement opportunities

Events and Community Engagement

  • Assist with planning and execution of fundraising and stewardship events
  • Support sponsorship fulfillment, silent auctions, raffles, and corporate engagement events
  • Assist with vendor coordination, logistics, timelines, and guest experience
  • Capture and share donor engagement stories and event content
  • Perform other duties incidental to the work outlined in this position description as requested by the CEO

CRM and Database Management

  • Serve as primary administrator for Bloomerang CRM and Fundraising
  • Create reports to track donor activity and campaign performance
  • Support donor journey mapping and automated workflows

Communications

  • Draft donor-facing emails and newsletters, working alongside our social media manager to coordinate messaging
  • Incorporate program success stories into donor communications
  • Lead email, print, and digital fundraising outreach

Successful Candidates Have:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 2 years of development, industry experience, or other related experience
  • Experience in event management
  • Experience initiating outreach and building relationships
  • A passion for our mission
  • Exceptional relationship-building and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Ability to work in a flexible environment
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with CRMs or donor database to track activity, manage pipeline movement, and report on outcomes
