Design Tree Engineering is pursuing the addition of a Plumbing Designer with 5 years of experience to join our growing and dynamic Mechanical Engineering Team in or near our key service areas. Ideal candidates are driven and looking to grow with the organization.

Responsibilities
- Produces high-quality documents based on in-house drafting standards and clients' design plans.
- Develops complete plumbing design packages including domestic water, sanitary/storm drainage, natural gas, and related systems by coordinating with Design Tree and client personnel.
- Takes initiative in issue resolution by seeking direction from Design Tree personnel and/or clients.
- Is responsible for accurately completing tasks and projects in a timely manner based on project deadlines.
- Develops, maintains, and enforces Revit standards, workflows, templates, details, and best practices within the Mechanical Engineering Department.
- Collaborates and coordinates with DTE Team members in other engineering disciplines.
- Sets up new projects with the company's Revit standards and templates.
- Creates custom content as required for Revit project execution.
- Works with Mechanical Engineers and Project Managers to understand the scope , schedule, budget, project instructions and responsibilities.
- Completes tasks within scope, budget and schedule.
- Executes procedures as determined by the Team Leader.
- Reviews plumbing designs for completeness, constructability and coordination.
- Monitors drawings to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Occasionally travels to client sites to gather information and measurements of existing facilities. Site visits may require ladder, stair, and/or scaffolding climbing.
- Is able and willing to work overtime on occasion to meet project deadlines.
- Has a positive attitude, willingness to learn and be part of a team.
- Is able to multi-task and work on multiple projects and teams concurrently.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of five(5) years of plumbing design experience in Revit.
- Hard working, self-motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision after the initial training period.
- Proficiency in Revit (primary); AutoCAD a plus.
- Proficiency with Bluebeam and Sketch Up.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with engineers and project teams.
- Genuine enthusiasm for plumbing systems - someone who takes pride in the craft and truly enjoys the work.
Desired Qualifications
- ASPE Certified Plumbing Design Technician (CPDT) or Certified Plumbing Designer (CPD) Certification.
- Experience creating custom families, model components, and detail components.
- Strong understanding of plumbing codes and design standards.
- Basic knowledge of construction practices.
- Familiarity writing Plumbing specifications.
- Water/wastewater experience is a bonus, not a requirement.
- Located in or near one of our key service areas: Duluth, St. Cloud, Twin Cities metro, or south of the metro (Mankato area and surrounding region). This is a bonus, not a requirement.
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive salaries (Range: $80,000-110,000), comprehensive benefits including flexible paid time off, health, dental, continuing education, flexible schedule/work environment, travel pay, etc.
