Position Overview
We are seeking detail-oriented and highly reliable transcriptionists to support law enforcement transcription services. This is an independent contractor position offering a flexible schedule and consistent workflow for qualified candidates.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately transcribe law enforcement audio recordings, including interviews, interrogations, and other investigative content
- Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all data security requirements
- Ensure transcripts meet quality and formatting standards
- Meet turnaround deadlines consistently
Requirements
- Prior transcription experience required (law enforcement or legal transcription preferred)
- Minimum commitment of 4 hours of audio transcription per week
- Must operate as an independent contractor
- Must have your own transcription equipment, including foot pedal and high-quality headset
- Strong command of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation
- Ability to understand multiple speakers, accents, and varying audio quality
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
Work Schedule
- Flexible schedule --- work on your own time while meeting deadlines
Additional Information
This is a remote, contract-based opportunity. Work volume may vary, but consistent availability is preferred. Candidates must be dependable and capable of managing assignments independently.
