Director of Business Development (EW & Radar)

Location: Remote (U.S.)

Travel: 50-75%

Industry: Aerospace & Defense - Electronic Warfare, Radar, C4I

A fast‑growing Space and Defense manufacturer is seeking a senior‑level Sales & Business Development leader to own the full capture cycle within the Electronic Warfare (EW) and Radar market space. This role carries responsibility for team leadership, strategic growth planning, and direct management of key customer accounts supporting mission‑critical defense programs.

This is a highly visible position reporting into executive sales leadership, with significant influence on growth strategy, customer penetration, and capture execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a high‑performing sales and business development team
  • Own the full capture lifecycle across EW and Radar customer programs
  • Expand opportunity pipelines within existing defense customers
  • Penetrate new EW and Radar customers aligned with aggressive growth goals
  • Build strong relationships across customer project teams and senior leadership
  • Maintain deep understanding of customer applications, market trends, and competitive landscape
  • Directly engage customers to secure new and incremental program awards
  • Coordinate closely with internal program management, engineering, and operations teams
  • Lead preparation of formal quotations and support profitable pricing strategies
  • Manage commercial discussions including terms, contracts, and customer requirements
  • Utilize CRM tools (Salesforce) to track pipeline, wins, and losses
  • Represent company values and support quality, safety, and continuous improvement

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field
  • 10+ years of experience in EW and Radar markets
  • 5+ years in strategic business development with successful program capture history
  • 2+ years in a leadership or people‑management role
  • Strong technical aptitude and understanding of EW/Radar end‑use applications
  • Proven record of driving sales growth in complex defense environments
  • Excellent communication, organization, and relationship‑management skills
  • U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency required (ITAR/EAR)

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $130,000-$200,000
