Role Overview
Elation Health is seeking a Full Stack Engineer to join their application team. This is a remote role open to candidates in the USA. The focus will be on building and maintaining AI-driven product experiences, collaborating closely with product and UX teams.
Responsibilities
- Ship your first AI-powered feature improvement to production.
- Partner with Product and UX to scope and design at least one new capability.
- Gain familiarity with our stack (Python, MySQL, React, AWS) and AI integration patterns.
- Participate in code reviews and share knowledge with the team.
- Own significant features end-to-end, from design through deployment.
- Help shape the technical direction for AI-native product experiences.
- Mentor other engineers and collaborate to improve team practices.
- Build strong partnerships with support and infrastructure teams to help triage bugs and quickly resolve production issues.
- Ensure AI features built are measurably improving physician and patient outcomes.
Skills and Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Experience building APIs using modern backend technologies.
- Ability to communicate complex technical problems clearly to both technical and non-technical partners.
- Track record of delivering high-quality software projects.
- Enthusiasm and interest in building systems using AI and large language models.
- Experience with a modern JavaScript framework (e.g., React, Angular).
- Experience building systems with AI/LLMs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic).
- Experience with server-side technology including Python and MySQL.
- Experience deploying systems on AWS or other cloud providers.
- DevOps/observability experience or a strong interest in learning.
- Knowledge of the US healthcare industry and health tech is a plus.
