About EFCG:
EFCG is a global specialized M&A advisor and management consultant to Architecture, Engineering, and Consulting (AEC) firms. EFCG's team operates in a fully remote environment, with team members located across the United States.
About the Role:
The Analyst will focus primarily on M&A engagements, leveraging prior transaction experience to support both sell‑side and buy‑side assignments throughout the full deal lifecycle. This role provides meaningful exposure to all phases of transaction execution. The Analyst will also have the opportunity to learn from and collaborate with EFCG's broader platform, including strategic and financial consulting, technology advisory, sustainability advisory, and executive conferences.
The ideal candidate is a self‑motivated, collaborative professional who enjoys mastering processes and comfortably working across financial, operational, and strategic skill sets. EFCG seeks candidates with prior transaction experience who are proactive, innovative team players eager to take on increasing responsibility and ownership. This individual will be driven to make a meaningful, positive impact on both EFCG and the broader AEC industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with M&A transactions from inception through closing, supporting both sell‑side and buy‑side engagements across the full deal lifecycle.
- Contribute to the creation and execution of deal‑related materials, including teasers, confidential information memoranda (CIMs), management presentations, forecasting models, and targeted buyer lists.
- Support due diligence processes by organizing data rooms, tracking information requests, and assisting with analysis and follow‑up materials.
- Prepare marketing and business development materials such as pitch decks, company profiles, engagement letters, and market overviews.
- Perform financial, operational, and strategic analysis to support valuation, positioning, and transaction decision‑making.
- Own and maintain key internal databases and transaction tracking tools.
- Monitor and summarize industry, M&A, and capital markets trends to support transaction execution and business development efforts.
- Collaborate closely with senior team members across EFCG's platform to ensure high‑quality client deliverables and execution excellence.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required; strong academic performance preferred.
- 1--3 years of experience in investment banking, transaction advisory, or related fields, with a preference for sell‑side M&A experience.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with a high level of accountability in a remote setting.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with hands‑on experience in financial modeling, valuation analysis, and interpreting company financial statements.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple assignments concurrently while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce clear, professional client‑facing materials and interact confidently with internal and external stakeholders.
- Sound business judgment and a professional demeanor, with the ability to build rapport and communicate effectively with clients and senior team members.
- Previous exposure to or interest in the AEC sector is a plus.
- FINRA Series 7, 79, and 63 licenses preferred (or willingness to obtain, as applicable).
- Candidates selected for advancement will be required to complete a case study as part of the interview process.
Compensation:
- Base Salary Range: $95,000 - $120,000, commensurate with experience
- Discretionary bonus eligible
