Flexible Part-Time Senior Buyer / Purchasing Manager
Note: This is a flexible, part-time opportunity that is 5-20 hours per week at $75 per hour (up to $1.5k/week). It can be done remotely and can be done both alongside or instead of full-time employment.
We're working with a leading foundational AI lab to find experienced buyers and purchasing professionals who can help train their latest language model on procurement and sourcing tasks.
We're looking for senior buyers with 5+ years managing complex supplier relationships and procurement processes at top companies to create, evaluate, and refine AI-generated work across core purchasing workflows:
Core Purchasing Workflows:
- Supplier evaluation
- RFQ and contract negotiation
- Purchase order management
- Cost analysis
- Inventory planning
Compensation: $75/hour
Commitment: Flexible, up to 20 hours per week (up to $1.5k/week)
Location: Fully remote, work on your own schedule
Start date: April
Qualifications:
- 5+ years as a buyer or purchasing agent at a top company
- Strong expertise in supplier management, contract negotiation, and cost analysis
- Excellent written communication and attention to detail
