AI Data Engineer

Our client, a leading technology organization, is seeking an AI Data Engineer to join their team. As an AI Data Engineer, you will be part of the Data and Analytics Department supporting the Data Engineering and Data Science teams. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical thinking, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Remote - Candidate Location Requirements: 100% remote. Open to candidates across all time zones with a preference for PST support. Strong preference for candidates based near Redmond, WA who can work onsite at the Bear Creek A building approximately 3 days/week; these candidates will be prioritized. Pay Range: $59.15 - $66.54 on Experis W2

What's the Job?

  • Build and maintain scalable, automated data pipelines handling logs and event streaming data on cloud platforms.
  • Design and develop robust data models and architectures to support analytics and machine learning initiatives.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver actionable insights.
  • Advance infrastructure by developing reusable frameworks and new capabilities to improve data processing efficiency.
  • Ensure data quality, security, and reliability across all data solutions to foster stakeholder confidence.

What's Needed?

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, with 4+ years of relevant experience or Master's Degree with 3+ years of experience.
  • Experience building and optimizing enterprise-scale data pipelines using modern tools like Spark, Airflow, and cloud platforms such as Azure.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python for data transformation, automation, and analysis.
  • Strong understanding of data architecture, data modeling, and data governance principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a creative approach to data challenges and a business-oriented mindset.
