Description
Fusion MasTech (FMTI) is pursuing a new contract opportunity, and this position is contingent upon contract award. FMTI is seeking a highly qualified Senior Performance Engineer to perform in the Key Personnel position of Performance Testing Lead. This position is responsible for developing, maintaining, executing, and reporting automated API and contract testing efforts to validate integration points, interface reliability, and service interoperability across systems. This role develops comprehensive API test plans and ensures automated test suites are executed across defined environments to validate orchestration, dependency handling, error conditions, and contract compliance.
This is a hybrid position near the Hanover, MD area.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain comprehensive API and contract test plans supporting integrations and interface requirements.
- Implement automated API test suites using Tricentis API Testing (or government-directed tools); validate orchestration and dependencies.
- Execute integration scenarios across environments; validate interface behavior under expected and adverse conditions.
- Provide reporting on API coverage, failures, and trends; integrate results into dashboards and pipeline reporting.
- Integrate API validation into CI/CD workflows to support fast feedback loops and early defect detection; coordinate with product teams to resolve failures.
Requirements
Education & Experience:
- 7-10 years (3+ years automated API testing and CI/CD integration) (Tricentis Tosca experience preferred)
Certifications
- Security+ CE
- ISTQB CTFL (Agile Tester Extension preferred)
- SAFe Practitioner (SP) or CSM/PSM
- AWS Cloud Practitioner (or equivalent)
Security Clearance
- Candidate must have active Top Secret Clearance with ability to be cleared to Top Secret/SCI.
Other (Travel, Work Environment, DoD 8570 Requirements, Administrative Notes, etc.):
- Hybrid Work Environment: Work From Home and attend scheduled work sessions near Hanover, MD.
- Travel: Participate in scheduled meetings in and around the DC metropolitan area. Potential travel to locations throughout CONUS.
