Grants Specialist

100% Remote | Contract | $30 -- $35 / HR

Starts Part-Time (25 -- 30 Hours Per Week) | Full-Time After 1 -- 2 Months

We are partnered with an international non-profit organization supporting climate resilience for women in extreme environments. They spearhead efforts in conservation, development, finance, and communications processes across NGOs, governments, philanthropy, academia, and business. They value positivity, urgency, and partnership to empower women across the globe, and they are seeking a like-minded, mission-driven Grants Specialist to join their team.

This will be an important position supporting the Director of Contracts & Grants and translating the vision of various Grants into clearly defined and well-structured processes. Key responsibilities will include Grant Writing, Program Coordination, Process Improvement, and Database Management.

This will be an excellent opportunity for a junior to mid-level Grants professional to join a growing startup as a key player with a collaborative team and the flexibility of a 100% remote work environment!

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with the Director of Contracts & Grants to craft Grants, Proposals, and Contracts for submission by deadline.
  • Review all requirements for Grants & Proposals to ensure submissions are aligned with all requirements.
  • Maintains organized pre- and post-award grant files, including documentation tracking, recordkeeping, and archiving.
  • Track various grant-related activities and deliverables in coordination with supervisor and program staff.
  • Work with the Director of Contracts & Grants to review grant performance, goals, and objectives.
  • Assist with various administrative duties such as documentation requests, data coordination, and resolving any issues.
  • Support the Grants operations with relevant process improvement efforts to streamline and simplify the Grants process.
  • Assist with various Data Management responsibilities to help build and maintain an accurate and accessible database.
  • Support the team with future software transitions.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 2 -- 5 years of experience in Grant Writing, Grant Management, or Grant Administration.
  • Strong attention to detail and writing skills -- grammar, syntax, punctuation, etc., are critical.
  • Excellent organization and multi-tasking skills -- Ability to manage multiple priorities with competing deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Adobe (PDF Creation / Editing) and MS Office Suite (Word / Excel).
  • Enthusiastic attitude and willingness to learn and grow with the company.
