Marketing Intern - Social Media & Content Creation

Hudson River Community Credit Union (HRCCU) is seeking a Marketing Intern to lead the development and growth of our TikTok presence while supporting engaging short-form content across Instagram Reels and other social channels. This role is perfect for someone who lives and breathes social media trends, enjoys being on camera, and knows how to turn everyday moments into fun, on-brand content that connects with younger and future members. You'll have the opportunity to shape our voice on TikTok from the ground up, combining creativity, storytelling, and strategy to make financial topics approachable, relatable, and entertaining.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with developing and executing HRCCU's TikTok content strategy and posting calendar.
• Concept, script, film, and edit short-form videos and reels.
• Create fun, engaging, and educational content that aligns with HRCCU's brand and values.
• Stay on top of TikTok/Instagram trends, sounds, and challenges and adapt them for the brand.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to support campaigns, promotions, and community events.
• Capture behind-the-scenes footage, member stories, and day-to-day credit union life.
• Write captions and assist with light copywriting for social posts.
• Monitor performance metrics and provide recommendations to improve engagement and reach.
• Help manage comments and foster a positive online community.
• Support additional marketing initiatives and projects as needed.

Qualifications

• Current student or recent graduate in Marketing, Communications, Media, or related field.
• Active TikTok and Instagram user with a strong understanding of trends and platform best practices.
• Comfortable filming, editing, and appearing on camera.
• Experience with CapCut, Canva, Adobe, or similar editing tools preferred.
• Strong creativity and storytelling skills.
• Organized, self-starter, and able to manage multiple projects.
• Interest in community banking/financial education a plus.

Position Specifics

• Full-time or Part-time; Monday through Friday, hours can vary between 8 am - 5 pm.
• Internship can be during summer, fall, and/or spring semesters.
• Pay rate: $19/hour.
• Hybrid work environment with office days at our Operations Center, 1 Third Street, Corinth, NY 12822, Saratoga County.
