Job Title: Legal Assistant or Paralegal -- Class Actions
Job Location: Downtown Montreal, QC
Work Arrangement: Hybrid, 4 days in-office and 1 day remote (on rotation)
Working Hours: 8 AM to 4 PM or 9 AM to 5 PM, flexible schedule based on needs
Languages: Full bilingualism required, excellent command of written French

About the Client
Our client is a respected boutique litigation firm, recognized for its plaintiff-side work and stable team. The class action group handles significant and complex cases, with a high level of collaboration and client interaction.
Role Overview
Inner Circle Agency is assisting the client in recruiting a Legal Assistant or Paralegal dedicated to the class action group. This is a unique support role where you will work with several lawyers and the lead class action lawyer. The position requires strong emotional intelligence, adaptability, and the ability to manage multiple requests and personalities.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain class member files in both electronic and hard copy formats
- Manage calendars, contacts, and tasks for yourself and the assigned lawyer
- Prepare medical authorization forms and coordinate the retrieval of hospital records
- Follow up with class members to obtain signed authorizations
- Follow up with hospitals to secure medical records
- Scan, organize, and link medical records to the internal database
- Provide class members with information about the class action and arrange follow-up calls with the lawyer as needed
- Communicate with class members by phone or email to obtain required information
- Support class members throughout the claims process to ensure forms are completed
- Schedule appointments between class members and the Adjudicator or Claims Administrator
- Create, maintain, and update class member databases (Excel)
- Prepare mass communications by mail and email
Qualifications
Required:
- 1+ years of experience in an administrative or legal role
- Litigation experience required
- Sharp, proactive individual capable of managing multiple priorities
- Excellent command of written French and functional written English
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with different personalities
- Strong organizational skills and comfort handling large-volume files
Preferred:
- Experience in class actions, litigation, or procedural-heavy legal work
- Paralegal diploma
- Experience in a boutique or mid-size firm environment
