Job Details:

  • Job Title: Paralegal -- Corporate, Financing and Transactions
  • Location: Downtown Montreal, QC
  • Work Model: Hybrid, 4 days in-office, 1 day from home (on rotation)
  • Working Hours: 8 AM to 4 PM or 9 AM to 5 PM, with schedule flexibility
  • Languages: English required; functional French acceptable

Our client is a boutique law firm specializing in transactions, with a well-established practice in mergers & acquisitions, insolvency, real estate, and financing. They foster a collaborative, practical culture focused on long-term stability, evidenced by many long-standing employees.

Role Overview:

Inner Circle Agency is assisting the firm in recruiting an experienced Paralegal with a strong background in corporate transactions, RDPRM searches, land registry work, document preparation, and closing support. The ideal candidate is independent, resourceful, and capable of quickly integrating into the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare documents related to financing, corporate law, and transactions.
  • Conduct RDPRM and Land Register searches, and summarize findings.
  • Assist with corporate transactions, including M&A, real estate, and insolvency files.
  • Manage closing checklists, documents, and execution packages.
  • Coordinate with financial institutions, lawyers, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide assistant-level support, such as email management and file organization.
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency throughout all workflow stages.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Minimum of 5 to 6 years of direct transactional paralegal experience.
  • Strong knowledge of RDPRM, the Land Register, and corporate procedures.
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient technical skills (Word, Adobe, document formatting).
  • Professionalism, maturity, and the capacity to handle demanding files.

Preferred:

  • Experience in multiple transactional areas (M&A, financing, real estate, insolvency).
  • Prior law firm experience.
  • Bilingualism (French reading/writing is an asset, but not required).
