About the Role:
We are seeking a Marketing Business Architect to play a critical role in shaping and modernizing a large-scale marketing and customer data ecosystem within an enterprise environment.
This is a high-impact, strategy-focused role ---not a hands-on engineering position. You will work at the intersection of marketing, data, and technology, partnering closely with senior stakeholders to define how systems, platforms, and customer data come together to support business growth and customer experience.
You'll be responsible for translating business strategy into future-state capabilities, architecture, and operating models, ensuring that marketing data and platforms are aligned, scalable, and outcome-driven.
What You'll Be Doing:
Marketing Strategy → Architecture Translation
- Partner with marketing, sales, and business leaders to understand strategic goals and customer experience objectives
- Translate business priorities into clearly defined marketing and sales capabilities
- Define future-state operating models that align teams around a unified customer approach
Business & Enterprise Architecture
- Develop and maintain business architecture artifacts (capability maps, value streams, process flows)
- Identify gaps between current and future-state capabilities and recommend solutions
- Define how marketing and sales functions should operate in a modern ecosystem
Marketing Data & Identity Architecture
- Define enterprise marketing data architecture and data flow strategies
- Guide customer identity resolution and Customer 360 frameworks
- Ensure marketing data is integrated and leveraged across multiple platforms and systems
Solution Design & Delivery Alignment
- Translate business capabilities into outcome-driven requirements for delivery teams
- Provide architecture guidance while remaining platform-agnostic
- Validate that solutions align with business intent and long-term strategy
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Act as a strategic connector across marketing, data, IT, and program teams
- Facilitate decision-making by balancing business value, complexity, and speed
- Support governance with clear architectural principles and guardrails
What We're Looking For/Required Experience:
- ~10+ years of experience in enterprise data architecture, business architecture, or MarTech architecture
- Strong understanding of marketing and sales operating models
- Experience defining future-state capabilities and architecture (not just implementation)
- Experience with data ingestion strategies and customer identity resolution
- Ability to translate ambiguous business goals into structured architecture and requirements
- Strong communication skills with experience working across cross-functional teams
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with Customer Data Platforms (CDPs) and MarTech ecosystems
- Familiarity with tools such as Segment, Adobe Experience Platform, Salesforce CDP, or similar
- Experience in large-scale transformation or platform consolidation initiatives
- Exposure to modern data environments (Azure Databricks or similar is a plus)
