Job Summary

Latched Support is seeking an experienced Childbirth & Maternal Health Educator to deliver virtual education to pregnant and parenting families across Texas.

This is a 100% remote contract role for someone with strong facilitation skills who can confidently lead engaging, evidence-based classes and support diverse families in a virtual setting.

What You'll Do

Facilitate virtual classes and workshops, including:

  • Childbirth Readiness Education
  • Breastfeeding Education
  • Newborn Care & Safety
  • Safe Sleep Workshops
  • Baby Shower Educational Sessions
  • Potty Training Education

Additional responsibilities:

  • Lead structured, engaging virtual sessions using provided curriculum
  • Facilitate group discussion and answer participant questions
  • Adapt teaching style to meet diverse learning needs
  • Maintain a professional and supportive virtual environment
  • Submit attendance and required documentation after sessions

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience teaching or facilitating:
    • Community-based programs
    • Family education
    • Support groups
  • Background in maternal and child health
  • Strong communication and group facilitation skills
  • Comfortable using:
    • Zoom or virtual platforms
    • PowerPoint and screen sharing
    • Basic computer systems
  • Must be located in Texas

Preferred Qualifications

  • CLC (Certified Lactation Counselor) or
  • IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant)

AND/OR:

  • Certified Childbirth Educator
  • Community Health Worker (CHW) Certification
  • Additional maternal-child health certifications

Schedule & Work Environment

  • 100% remote
  • Flexible schedule based on assigned classes
  • Must be available for a mix of:
    • Daytime
    • Evening
    • Occasional weekend sessions
  • No guaranteed hours (contract role)

Compensation

  • Paid per class/session (rate discussed during onboarding)
  • This is a 1099 independent contractor role (no benefits)

  • You can work independently without constant oversight

We partner with families, healthcare providers, and community organizations to ensure families are informed, supported, and connected from pregnancy through early childhood.

Pay: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour
