Overview

We are partnering with a leading aviation asset management platform to hire Senior Powerplant Consultants and Powerplant Consultants, offering the opportunity to work on complex engine projects across global airline and leasing portfolios.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a virtual powerplant manager for airline and leasing clients
  • Lead fleet planning, maintenance forecasting, and engine strategy optimisation
  • Manage engine shop visit events end-to-end (workscope definition, repair oversight, cost control, post-visit reporting)
  • Perform Engine Health Monitoring (EHM) / Engine Condition Monitoring (ECM) analysis and reporting
  • Drive cost reduction initiatives and improve operational efficiency across engine programmes
  • Lead technical due diligence, engine transitions, and asset inspections (records, borescope, physical checks)
  • Negotiate with OEMs and MRO providers on service agreements and workscope execution
  • Provide technical input into engine lease, sale, and purchase agreements
  • Support new engine selection and investment decisions
  • Mentor junior engineers and consultants within the team
  • Contribute to business development and client relationship management

Requirements

  • 10 years' experience in powerplant / engine-focused aviation roles
  • Strong technical expertise across major engine platforms (e.g. CFM, GE, Pratt & Whitney, Rolls-Royce, IAE)
  • Proven experience in engine shop visit management and lifecycle planning
  • Solid understanding of engine leasing, maintenance economics, and commercial contracts
  • Experience working with airlines, lessors, OEMs, or MRO environments
  • Strong commercial mindset with the ability to connect technical decisions to financial outcomes
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Degree in Engineering or relevant technical discipline preferred
