We are looking to hire an Operations Manager to join our Construction Health & Safety Division in managing numerous occupational health clinics on construction sites in the Mountain West and Pacific regions.
This is a full-time position working Monday - Friday remotely from a home office, with travel and some evening and weekend hours as needed. Candidate must reside in Nevada, Utah, Arizona, or Colorado. Applicants must have an EMT, Paramedic, LPN/LVN, or RN license. The pay range for this position is $83,000 - $89,000 annually, based on relevant experience.
About the Role:
This position provides overall operational and administrative direction for several onsite clinics as assigned. The Operations Manager is responsible for managing local and corporate client relationships. The position involves supervision and leadership within a team environment of all full-time, part-time, and contract clinic staff at multiple clinic sites. This position monitors budgets and partners with leadership to control expenses effectively. The Operations Manager is an operations management team member and reports to the Director of Operations. This position supports the protocol-based mission of the clinics and contributes to the overall strategy of the Division and our Clients.
Significant ability to travel up to 75% is required across the United States. Candidates must live near a major metropolitan airport.
A Typical Day in the Life of an Operations Manager:
- Client Relationship Management:
- Responsible for managing local and corporate client relationships, including developing a professional and personal relationship that engenders trust and respect.
- Promoting Medcor Inc.'s ethics and values.
- Understanding the organizational environment of the clinics.
- Staff Management & Leadership:
- Responsible for the management and leadership of staff at clinic sites, including supervision of staff, which involves direct and indirect responsibilities for interviewing, selection, training, motivating, wage and salary administration, documented & timely feedback, performance appraisal, developing goals, and developing procedures to ensure achievement of goals.
- Assisting with problem-solving at sites and the proper use of electronic medical records by staff.
- Budget Management:
- Responsible for budget management at assigned clinics, including maximizing revenue generation; controlling expenses; maximizing cash flow and volume; and managing the site budget setting process.
- Monitors performance and acts to ensure financial targets and objectives are met.
- Assures accurate monthly financial billing and contract rate compliance in such billings.
- Operational Oversight:
- Accountable for assuring standard operating procedures are in place and utilized in clinics, in addition to growth in clinic volumes and services.
- Develops relationships with client executives, supervising physicians, and other local health care providers as needed.
- Works closely with Medcor corporate office to share information and improve the quality of our clinic services and solve problems in the field.
- Site Coordination:
- Coordination with corporate training needs, local client relations.
- Coordination with Medcor and client IT staff for computer requirements and needs.
- Coordination with Medcor HR for staffing needs.
- Coordination with Medcor accounting to confirm accounting procedures.
- Insure medical and office supplies are in place.
- Support training via Medcor training department and other development of staff as needed.
- Institutes and participates in regular staff meetings and operations management team meetings.
- Teamwork:
- Work effectively and relates well with others, including supervisors, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the company.
You Must Have:
- 2-4 years of practical experience in a health care environment or employee health services with management/supervisory experience as part of that background.
- A Bachelor's Degree or relevant work experience.
- Working knowledge of workers' compensation and occupational health and wellness.
- Be able to understand, question, and speak to variances associated with budgets and monthly financials.
- Be available and willing to travel up to 75% of the time to visit client sites and clinics.
- Be able to multi-task, be prepared, prioritize, follow through, pay attention to details, and think critically daily.
- Be able to quickly establish credibility and respect with associates and client management.
- Be able to effectively manage day-to-day operations.
- Have solid operational skills; ability to recognize workflow problems and redesign new processes/workflow and create buy-in from all customers on change.
- Have strong personal computer skills, including experience using Microsoft Office products.
- Have strong ethics and unwavering integrity.
- An EMT, Paramedic, LPN/LVN, or RN license.
It's a plus if:
- Previous hands-on medical experience on construction sites.
