Head of Talent Acquisition / Head of Hiring
NIA Production is a YouTube conglomerate, owning all of its 90+ channels and experiencing rapid growth. We are seeking a Head of Talent Acquisition to build and own our entire hiring function from the ground up.
Responsibilities
This role entails full ownership of the hiring process, including:
- Pipeline architecture
- Sourcing strategy
- Developing a library of job descriptions (JDs) and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Creating interview rubrics
- Managing a recruiter
- Redesigning any part of the hiring system autonomously
You will be responsible for hiring across 30 to 50 roles annually, including editors, writers, thumbnail designers, producers, operators, and senior strategic hires. This requires developing and implementing two distinct hiring playbooks for volume and senior roles.
What This Role Is Not
- A coordination-focused role bogged down by process.
- A position requiring approval for obvious improvements.
- A role for individuals who need a large team from day one.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in recruiting or talent acquisition.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience owning or building a hiring function.
- Proven experience hiring for 20+ concurrent roles at a fast pace.
- Fluency in sourcing across platforms such as LinkedIn, Upwork, Twitter/X, Discord, Reddit, OnlineJobs.ph, and similar.
- Demonstrated, practical application of AI tools in recruiting workflows.
- Experience managing a direct report and holding them accountable.
- Strong written communication skills for creating JDs, reports, SOPs, and dashboards.
Nice to Have
- Background in the YouTube, creator economy, or digital media industries.
- Experience hiring creative roles.
- Experience with global hiring across different timezones.
Compensation
- $18,000 to $36,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
- Full-time contractor, fully remote position.
First Deliverable
Your first task will be to provide a written gap analysis of NIA's current hiring operation within your first 4 days. This analysis will help us assess our current hiring effectiveness.
