Job Summary
The Junior Software Asset Manager supports the full lifecycle of software assets across the organization, ensuring accurate inventory, compliance with licensing requirements, and effective coordination with technical and business teams. This role is fully remote and requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and the ability to collaborate and facilitate discussions across departments.
Job Duties

Maintain and update the software asset inventory, including entitlements, deployments, renewals, and usage data.

Support software license compliance activities, including internal reviews and vendor audits.

Track renewals, subscription terms, and maintenance agreements to ensure timely action.

Analyze usage data to identify optimization opportunities and reduce unnecessary spend.

Assist with the configuration, data quality, and reporting within SAM tools.

Collaborate with IT Operations, Procurement, Security, and Finance to validate installations and align software usage with organizational policies.

Facilitate meetings with stakeholders to review software needs, usage trends, and compliance status.

Prepare reports and dashboards using Excel and other Office 365 tools.

Contribute to process documentation and continuous improvement of SAM workflows.
Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree, One-and-one- half (1.5) years of additional experience can substitute for one (1) year of a typical degree program.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in software asset management, IT asset management, procurement, or related IT operations.

Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
-
CCSAM certification (Certified Software Asset Manager).

Experience with Jira for workflow tracking, dashboard creation, and project coordination.

Experience with BigFix or similar software discovery and endpoint management tools.

Familiarity with SAM platforms such as ServiceNow SAM, Flexera, Snow, or comparable tools.

Understanding of licensing models for major vendors (Microsoft, Adobe, Oracle, VMware).

Proficiency in Office 365, with strong skills in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis).

Ability to work effectively in a remote environment and manage tasks independently.

Strong communication skills and comfort facilitating meetings with cross‑functional teams.

Demonstrated ability to analyze data, solve problems, and maintain attention to detail.
Compensation and Benefits
Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this remote role is $57,960 - $120,750. Actual compensation will depend on factors like work location, experience, and skills. This position may be eligible for incentive compensation. Benefits include medical, dental, vision insurance, flexible spending or health savings account, life and AD&D insurance, disability coverage, paid time off, employee assistance, 401k program with company match, and additional benefits.
