Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior Data Analyst to join our remote team, open to candidates in the USA. This role is crucial for translating business requirements into technical data specifications, manipulating large datasets, and supporting various data initiatives for our clients.

Responsibilities

• Leverage data tools and capabilities to deliver superior service to clients' customers and to advance the Data & Analytics Road Map.
• Conduct discovery and end-to-end data analysis to understand customer needs and to help develop plans and activities to improve data quality.
• Elicit, analyze, and interpret business and data requirements to develop complete data product solutions. This includes reviewing data models (entity relationship diagrams, dimensional data models), ETL and business rules, data management, governance, lineage, metadata, and reporting elements.
• Manipulate large data sets using SQL to understand patterns in the data.
• Perform data profiling using various tools to learn the shape of the data, informing data quality checks and/or curation rules.
• Partner with customers in interpreting data and remediating issues when required.
• Collaborate with data owners and stewards to implement and maintain data governance, quality, security, and privacy requirements, along with related policies and standards.
• Prepare technical specifications for data ingestion and transformation rules.
• Partner with data architects to build data models for efficient data consumption.
• Support the development of standards and best practices within the Data Analysis team, including documentation templates and agile development methodologies.

Skills and Qualifications

• University or college degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field.
• 5 years of relevant experience gathering and documenting requirements and technical specifications for data solutions.
• Advanced SQL scripting skills.
• Python knowledge is a plus.
• Experience with the AWS platform and associated analytics and data tools (S3, Redshift, Glue).
• Understanding of the Snowflake platform is a plus.
• Experience with data governance and metadata management (standards, format, definition, structure, tagging, transmission, manipulation, use, and management of data).
• Understanding of Monte Carlo and Atlan is a plus.
• Experience in integrated marketing, digital agency, marketing services, or consulting environments is preferred.
