Associate Engineer – Security (Entry-Level)

Location: Peachtree City, GA 30269 (Hybrid)

Contract: 6+ Months. Long-term

Job Summary:

We are hiring an Associate Engineer -- Security to support our cybersecurity engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or early-career professionals with a Master's degree in Cybersecurity who are looking to build hands-on experience in secure systems and software development.

Responsibilities:

• Support security engineering initiatives, including system hardening and vulnerability analysis
• Assist in monitoring, detecting, and responding to security threats and incidents
• Develop and maintain secure applications and tools using C/C++
• Work within Linux environments for system configuration, troubleshooting, and security enhancements
• Collaborate with engineering and IT teams to implement security best practices
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation

Required Qualifications:

• Strong programming skills in C/C++
• Hands-on experience or academic exposure to Linux/Unix systems
• Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts (network security, secure coding, cryptography, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Cybersecurity or related field
• Degree from Georgia Tech or similar top-tier cybersecurity program
• Internship, research, or academic project experience in cybersecurity
• Familiarity with security tools or penetration testing concepts

Work Setup:

Hybrid role with possibly 1 to 2 days work from home depending on the project needs
