Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to join our team. In this vital role, you will oversee a broad range of accounting functions, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and delivering accurate financial reporting. Your expertise will support our financial operations, from tax preparation to financial analysis, helping us maintain our reputation for excellence.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct detailed audits and internal controls to ensure accuracy and compliance, including SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) regulations.
- Manage tax filings, including tax planning, preparation, and compliance for various entities, leveraging your tax experience.
- Perform account reconciliations such as balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger reconciliation to ensure data integrity.
- Assist with financial report writing and interpretation to support strategic decision-making.
- Support mergers & acquisitions activities through financial analysis and due diligence processes.
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, and other financial tools for bookkeeping, asset management, payroll, and regulatory reporting.
Requirements
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license required with active certification.
- Proven experience in public accounting or corporate accounting roles with a strong background in financial concepts including GAAP, tax accounting, double-entry bookkeeping, debits & credits.
- Demonstrated expertise in estate planning, wills & trusts law, securities law, non-profit accounting, and LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, and other financial software platforms.
- Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and prepare comprehensive reports.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards including SOX compliance and securities law.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in account reconciliation and balance sheet management.

Pay: $99.00 - $130.00 per hour
