Location: Remote (Pacific Northwest preferred)

Salary: $150,000--$200,000

My client, a high-growth industrial automation business, is looking for a General Manager (US) to establish and lead its North American operations. This is a senior, hands-on leadership role focused on driving revenue growth, developing strategy, and building a strong market presence.

The Role

As the first US-based hire, you will take full responsibility for business development, sales strategy, and operational leadership. You will work closely with global teams to identify opportunities, manage bids, and deliver profitable growth across key sectors such as aerospace and high-value manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the US growth and sales strategy
• Identify and secure new business opportunities within target markets
• Lead bid processes from opportunity through to contract award
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key industry stakeholders
• Collaborate with marketing, finance, and engineering teams
• Drive commercial performance and profitability
• Provide leadership and direction as the US business expands

Requirements

• Proven experience in a sales-led role within industrial automation, engineering, or advanced manufacturing
• Strong network within aerospace or high-value manufacturing sectors
• Demonstrated success in winning and delivering profitable business
• Commercially astute with strong strategic thinking ability
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills
• Technical understanding of automation, robotics, or similar technologies
• Degree in engineering or related field advantageous
