Project Description:
A highly skilled, self-starting Business Analyst with strong communication and interpersonal skills is sought for a fast-paced Business Intelligence Team. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in data analysis, visualizations, and data testing.
Scope of Services
The scope of services required for the Business Analyst includes:
- Meeting coordination including agenda development and preparing meeting minutes
- Collaborating with project managers and cross-functional teams
- Working with business colleagues to understand their processes and data needs
- Creating business and technical requirement documentation and obtaining stakeholder validation of requirements
- Acting as liaison between developers and subject matter experts
- Analyzing and formatting data including conducting statistical analysis
- Collaborating with developers to create dashboards including recommending table and graph designs, naming conventions, and writing definitions
- Mocking up reports and documenting report logic
- Testing and cleansing data sets and verifying accuracy
- Reviewing dashboards and reports with business colleagues to elicit their feedback
Minimum Qualifications:
The minimum skills and experience required for a candidate to be considered for this position include:
- A minimum of 3 years' experience working in Business Intelligence, Reporting, Data Analysis, or a similar field
- A minimum of 1 year experience writing business requirement documents, report design, or similar tasks
- Proficient with Excel and Visio
- Experience with Tableau (or other visualization software) and SQL preferred
- Knowledge of the criminal justice system or prior work with judicial system data preferred
- Professionalism and flexibility in working relationships
- Ability to set individual priorities, complete work with limited direction, and work in a team environment
Consultants are required to attend their first two days in person in Glastonbury CT. Thereafter, consultants are currently allowed to work 100% remotely with the project manager's approval.
