Job Overview
Recharge is a subscription platform dedicated to enhancing customer retention for innovative brands. We are seeking a hands-on Engineering Manager to lead two engineering squads focused on data analytics and design systems, while ensuring high-quality software delivery and effective team management. This is a remote job open to candidates in the USA.
Responsibilities
- Directly manage 6 engineers across two squads with distinct technical profiles
- Stay engaged in MRs, technical decisions and day-to-day engineering quality
- Actively unblock engineers - technically and organizationally
- Partner cross-functionally with product and stakeholders while protecting team focus and quality
- Experiment with and help establish AI tooling practices that scale your team's output
Skills
- Prior experience shipping production software (preferably recently as an independent contributor)
- Comfort in React or Python codebases (preferably both!)
- Someone who reads the code, not just the ticket
- A bias to action - low tolerance for ambiguity sitting unresolved - you make the calls and move
- Genuine curiosity about how LLMs and AI tooling are changing how engineers work
