The Construction Contract Administrator plays a key role in overseeing construction contract administration activities. This position requires a thorough understanding of contract documents and the ability to apply established processes and procedures throughout the construction phase. In collaboration with Project Managers, the Construction Contract Administrator serves as the primary point of contact between the Owner and the General Contractor/Construction Manager.
In This Role You Will
- Administer, communicate, and document the activities during the construction contract throughout the construction phase.
- Display working knowledge of contract requirements, understand the scope of services during the construction phase, including conditions of the design and construction contracts.
- Interface with the design team to provide clear directions regarding the interpretation of the contract documents.
- Interact professionally with those associated with the construction phase of the project including Owners, Architects, Designers, General Contractors, as well as local authorities having jurisdiction.
- Perform specific site observation tasks such as overall construction progress review, roofing installation, above ceiling reviews, substantial completion punch list preparation and back check, and final completion review to document construction activities.
- Review shop drawings, RFL's, Change Orders and pay applications, and reviews closeout documents including record documents, warranties, operation, and maintenance manuals.
- Attend pre-installation meetings, perform site observations, and other critical site visits and prepare miscellaneous reports and meeting minutes to support the project documentation requirements.
- Perform QA/QC reviews of design documents.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school Diploma or General Education Development (GED). Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field a plus.
- Minimum six years' experience in field observation and project administration or Construction Management.
- Previous experience with a Design/Architectural firm preferred.
- Previous experience in Healthcare, DOD, and/or other government contractor projects preferred.
- Ability to perform tasks independently with minimal supervision.
- Thorough knowledge of construction.
- Ability to work effectively with contractors and subcontractors to resolve challenges.
- Experience with PDF software like Bluebeam or Adobe, specifically with markup experience.
- Strong interpersonal, client service, and communications skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Physically able to navigate an active construction site with uneven terrain, bend/stoop, climb ladders, and scaffolding to accomplish construction reviews.
- Due to project requirements and access to secure work sites, this position requires U.S. citizenship.

Amount Of Travel Required
This position requires travel for client meetings and site visits, some of which may be international.
