About the Role
Roku is seeking a skilled FP&A Manager to join the Platform Finance team in Santa Monica. Reporting to the Sr. Manager Subscriptions FP&A, this individual contributor role is critical in assessing historical and forward-looking financial performance, analyzing business trends, identifying risks and opportunities, and communicating insights to senior management. You will support and advise the Subscriptions team, balancing competing priorities in a fluid environment and driving projects with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate possesses a strong quantitative background, advanced modeling abilities, and superior attention to detail.
California Salary Range: $135,000 - $148,000 annually. Compensation is based on factors unique to each candidate. This role is eligible for health insurance, equity awards, life insurance, disability benefits, parental leave, wellness benefits, and paid time off.
What You'll Be Doing
- Own financial modeling, forecasting, quarterly close, and annual planning for Premium Subscriptions (Roku's Channels business).
- Serve as the finance expert on the P&L, subscriber economics, and growth drivers.
- Monitor and synthesize subscriber acquisition, retention, and engagement metrics, conducting deep dives on anomalies and trends.
- Partner cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, Business Development, Analytics, and Accounting to develop financial narratives and guidance.
- Build and maintain reusable frameworks for sizing growth initiatives, pricing changes, promotional strategies, product enhancements, and new partnerships.
- Identify opportunities to automate and scale FP&A workflows using AI and tooling.
- Oversee headcount investments for the Premium Subscriptions organization.
- Lead the finance work-stream for international expansion of Premium Subscriptions.
- Prepare executive-ready materials and provide financial insights for strategic reviews, board updates, and earnings narratives.
We're Excited If You Have
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (finance, economics, mathematics).
- 8 years of experience in Corporate Finance, investment banking, management consulting, or corporate strategy/analytics.
- Preferred background in tech, media, or subscription/consumer businesses; familiarity with SVOD, streaming, or DTC subscription economics is a plus.
- Expert-level Excel skills and experience building complex financial models; deep understanding of subscription business mechanics.
- Genuine interest in AI and automation in the workplace.
- Strong problem-structuring and analytical skills, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly to senior executives.
- Ability to operate at both strategic and detailed levels; comfortable with ambiguity and fast-moving environments.
- Highest standards of accuracy and organization; collaborative mindset.
- Curiosity and a relentless drive to learn new skill sets.
