About Skillbridge

Skillbridge is a global capacity-building organization focused on strengthening individuals, nonprofits, and mission-driven organizations through strategic partnerships, skill development, and practical solutions that create sustainable impact. Our work supports equitable growth, strong institutions, and long-term value creation across diverse sectors and regions.

Position Summary

Skillbridge is seeking a detail-oriented Researcher for RFPs, Tenders, and Grants to identify high-quality funding and procurement opportunities aligned with our mission and services. This role is ideal for someone who understands how to filter opportunities for relevance and fit---not just volume---and who can consistently surface bid-ready opportunities that match capacity-building and professional services work.

This is a flexible, part-time role (approximately 3--5 hours per week). We anticipate bringing on 2--3 researchers to support ongoing opportunity identification. Compensation is milestone-based and tied to meeting agreed-upon weekly or monthly minimums.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research and identify high-quality EOIs, RFPs, tenders, and grant opportunities aligned with Skillbridge's mission and service offerings.
  • Apply screening criteria to ensure opportunities are relevant, compliant, and realistic to pursue.
  • Track opportunities, deadlines, eligibility requirements, and submission details in an organized format.
  • Prioritize opportunities by strategic fit, geography, funder type, and readiness to bid.
  • Provide brief summaries or notes to support internal review and decision-making.
  • Meet consistent weekly or monthly minimum targets for qualified opportunities identified.

Qualifications

  • Experience researching RFPs, tenders, EOIs, or grants for nonprofits, professional services, or development-focused organizations.
  • Strong ability to evaluate opportunity fit beyond surface-level keywords.
  • Familiarity with funding portals, donor platforms, procurement sites, and grant databases.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and deadline-conscious.
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote setting.
  • Experience with capacity-building, nonprofit, or international development work is a strong plus.
  • Candidates may be based domestically or internationally.

Work Expectations

  • Consistently dedicate approximately 3--5 hours per week.
  • Meet agreed-upon minimum targets for qualified opportunities identified.
  • Communicate clearly and proactively regarding findings and timelines.
  • Maintain alignment with Skillbridge's values of transparency, collaboration, and impact.

Compensation

  • Paid monthly on a contract milestone basis, contingent on meeting minimum opportunity identification targets.
  • Details on targets and milestones will be discussed during onboarding.
