Position Summary
We are seeking a results-driven Space & Workplace Experience Planner to support the strategic and operational growth of our facilities across a national footprint. The ideal candidate will have experience in facilities planning, space optimization, and project execution. This role is essential in enabling efficient workplace design, scenario-based planning, and the successful implementation of real estate and workplace initiatives across multiple sites.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Space Planning & Optimization
- Conduct space utilization studies and recommend layout improvements to maximize workspace efficiency.
- Support implementation of hybrid work strategies with adaptable floor plans and occupancy models.
- Maintain and update master space plans across current and planned locations.
Scenario & Strategic Planning
- Assist in long-term planning activities, including scenario modeling for headcount growth and space requirements.
- Analyze capacity plans and provide recommendations to support real estate decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to simulate various workplace design and occupancy scenarios.
Project Management
- Coordinate and manage small to mid-sized facility projects, such as reconfigurations, renovations, and office relocations.
- Track project milestones, budgets, and vendor performance in alignment with the larger strategic plan.
- Update project tracking systems and dashboards; prepare executive updates as needed.
Support for Real Estate & Expansion
- Assist in preparing data and layouts for lease negotiations, expansions, and site selections.
- Provide input into workplace standards, buildout planning, and FF&E specifications.
Operations & Cross-Functional Coordination
- Partner with internal teams (HR, IT, Security, etc.) to ensure seamless project execution and business continuity.
- Maintain updated records of space assignments, departmental layouts, and office configurations.
- Support facility condition assessments and capital improvement planning.
Qualifications and Competencies Required

Required Experience
- 5 years of experience in facilities planning, space optimization, or workplace project management.
- Proficiency in space planning tools (e.g., OfficeSpace, SerraView, FMSystems, AutoCAD, or other IWMS platforms).
- Solid knowledge of project management principles and tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Asana, or Monday.com) would be desirable.
- Experience supporting hybrid workplace models or multi-location environments.
- Strong communication, organization, and analytical skills.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Architecture, Interior Design, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Qualifications Preferred
- Certified Facility Manager (CFM), PMP, or equivalent certification.
- Familiarity with lease administration, move management, and facilities software systems.
- Knowledge of workplace wellness and sustainability principles is a plus.
Position Requirements
- Overtime: N/A
- Travel: 10-20% as required on an as-needed basis.
- Must have reliable transportation and live within a commutable distance to Dallas, TX.

Work Schedule
This position requires the ability to work various shifts to accommodate business needs. Typically between the hours of 8 AM - 6 PM, Monday through Friday, and on weekends as needed. Travel is required up to 20% of the time.
