Remote Therapist (LCSW) - Oncology Focus
If you're a therapist who finds meaning in helping people move forward during life's most challenging seasons, this is an opportunity to do deeply impactful work in a supportive, purpose-driven environment.
This is a fully remote opportunity where you'll support individuals and families navigating the experience of cancer, providing steady, compassionate care that helps patients build resilience, process complex emotions, and find a sense of strength, clarity, and hope along the way.
What you'll do...
- Provide telehealth psychotherapy to individuals and families navigating the emotional realities of cancer diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship
- Use evidence-based, trauma-informed approaches to support clients experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, and life transitions related to serious illness
- Conduct comprehensive virtual intakes, develop thoughtful treatment plans with clear goals, and guide patients through personalized, ongoing care
- Build meaningful therapeutic relationships that foster trust, resilience, and a sense of stability during uncertain and often overwhelming times
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team to ensure patients receive integrated, holistic support
- Maintain timely, accurate documentation including assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in alignment with clinical and compliance standards
- Identify when patients may need additional support and facilitate referrals to higher levels of care or community-based resources
- Stay engaged in continuous learning around psycho-oncology, telehealth best practices, and evolving therapeutic approaches
What we're looking for...
- Active LCSW license in Texas. Multi-state licensure is a plus
- Minimum 2 years of experience providing psychotherapy to adults, couples, or families
- Experience supporting individuals navigating medical, chronic health, or life-altering conditions. Oncology experience is a strong plus but not required
- Comfort working independently in a remote setting while staying connected to a collaborative clinical team
- Strong foundation in evidence-based modalities and trauma-informed care
- Consistent, organized documentation habits and accountability to clinical standards
- Comfort with telehealth platforms, EMRs, and digital tools used in a virtual care environment
- A grounded, empathetic presence with the ability to support patients through difficult emotional experiences
- Ability to commit to a minimum of 15 clinical hours per week with a consistent schedule
Why this role matters...
This work plays an important role in helping patients and families feel supported, understood, and equipped as they navigate a difficult chapter in their lives.
You will help create space for people to process what they are experiencing, develop coping strategies, and move forward with greater confidence and emotional strength.
You will be part of a growing behavioral health organization focused on expanding access to specialized care through a virtual model, making meaningful support more accessible to those who need it.
If you are looking for a role where your work makes a meaningful difference and allows you to help people find stability, perspective, and hope, we would love to speak with you.
