Job description

Career Opportunities: Advanced Platform Engineer, Infrastructure & System Integration, Lystrup (941)

Your role in our team

As our new Platform Engineer, you will play a central role in ensuring integration, test, and delivery platforms operate reliably and efficiently. You will work in the intersection of hardware, software, and infrastructure -- contributing both to internal development and external customer deliveries. Your work enables development teams to integrate and test complex systems while ensuring that customer environments are built, configured, and verified to the highest standards. Your goal is to ensure our integration, test, and delivery environments run smoothly, enabling effective development and dependable deliveries across Terma's projects.

You will join our technical team in a collaborative and supportive environment, where you will have the opportunity to share your ideas, work closely with colleagues, and develop your skills while contributing to a variety of meaningful tasks.

How you will make a meaningful contribution

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Develop, automate, and maintain build, integration, and test infrastructure for both R&D and customer projects
  • Design, implement, and operate virtual and physical environments supporting integration, verification, and validation
  • Prepare, configure, and deliver reference and customer systems for operational use
  • Automate deployment, configuration, and test processes using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration as Code (CaC)
  • Collaborate closely with project teams to integrate software and hardware components into mission-ready solutions
  • Actively contributes to planning, reviews, and retrospectives, sharing knowledge and best practices across R&D and customer projects

Bring your world class expertise into play

You may come from a software or infrastructure background -- what matters most is your passion for building robust, automated, and scalable systems. You will apply your expertise in IT infrastructure, DevOps, or system integration to ensure our environment is reliable, secure, and efficient.

Terma's infrastructure is entirely on-premise, so experience with self-managed environments is a strong advantage. Moreover, you are fluent in English both in writing and verbal at a professional level. Danish is an advantage but not a requirement.

We are also looking for a new colleague with the following qualifications:

  • Strong Linux experience, including shell scripting or Python automation
  • Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code and Configuration as Code tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform)
  • Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware, KVM or Hyper-V
  • Familiarity with networking fundamentals (routing, firewalls, VLANs) and system provisioning
  • Experience evaluating and mitigating security risks in Infrastructure as Code implementations

Preferred qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) and artifact management (e.g., Nexus)
  • Experience with Gerrit, SonarQube, or similar code review and analysis tools
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Experience managing mixed environments (Linux/Windows) and PowerShell scripting
  • Knowledge of monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix)
  • Exposure to hardware integration, firmware updates, or test automation frameworks

You are open-minded and curious, with a structured and analytical approach to problem-solving. You take ownership of system stability and quality, thrive in a collaborative environment, and communicate clearly. You value teamwork, share knowledge proactively, and contribute to a culture of precision and continuous improvement.

We are an international company representing world-class expertise, delivering complex and high-tech products. We value our colleagues and our meaningful contributions to securing people through advanced technology. You will also experience that we have a strong focus on your development, teaching you useful new competences and further strengthening current ones, both professionally and personally. Our company culture is autonomous and engaging, and we acknowledge the importance of flexibility in a great working environment.

When joining Terma, we promise that you will experience: Great people, challenging tasks, world-class expertise, and meaningful contribution in your daily work.
