Role Overview

On a typical day, the Senior Strategist oversees and validates strategy across multiple client funnels while directly supporting Account Managers in execution. Internal communication with Account Managers will be ongoing throughout the day via Slack. Senior Strategists will also be responsible for client communication via email and Slack, as needed.

Each Account Manager in your pod is responsible for managing approximately 4 client accounts. The Senior Strategist ensures those accounts are supported with clear, effective, and data-driven strategy, while maintaining high performance across the board.

This includes:

  • Guiding high-level strategy across funnels and campaigns
  • Conducting audits across all stages of the funnel (as needed)
  • Reviewing and approving copy and creative (led by the Account Manager)
  • Ensuring KPIs are met across all accounts
  • Supporting Account Managers in problem-solving and growth
  • Participating in client calls (especially after a client newly onboards, as then as needed from there)

Mission of the Position

The Senior Strategist exists to support Account Managers and the media buying team in executing high-level strategies that drive measurable client results, while contributing to agency-wide growth and retention.

Essential Duties

Create and maintain 3x+ ROAS and 80%+ client retention agency-wide

  • Oversee and support a pod of Account Managers (each managing min of 4 clients)
  • Conduct full-funnel audits, including:
    • Sales page audits
    • Email sequence audits
    • Funnel page audits
    • Ad account audits
    • Ad creative and copy audits
  • Review and approve ad copy and creative developed by Account Managers
  • Provide strategic direction on media buying, creative testing, and funnel optimization
  • Ensure all accounts are aligned with KPIs and performance targets
  • Stay informed on best practices and communicate strategic updates to the team
  • Join client calls as needed to support strategy and performance conversations
  • Support onboarding and development of new Account Managers
  • Monitor overall client experience and ensure high satisfaction (8+ standard)
  • Identify gaps in performance, strategy, or operations and proactively address them
  • Communicate with the Training Director on any gaps or additional support needed for Account Managers
  • Attend bi-weekly Monday team meetings (whole agency)
  • Attend weekly leadership meetings
  • Drive initiatives that improve retention, results, and team performance
  • Report on monthly retention and overall account performance

Client Strategy & Performance

  • Develop and guide strategies across various business models including coaching, courses, and e-commerce
  • Analyze account performance and provide clear, actionable recommendations
  • Ensure proper use of tracking and third-party data tools
  • Build a trusted partnership with clients
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve results through testing and optimization

Team Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and support Account Managers in strategy and execution
  • Provide ongoing feedback, training, and strategic guidance
  • Host regular team calls focused on performance, optimization, and growth
  • Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and high standards

Education, Experience, and Qualities

  • 6+ years of Facebook and Instagram ads experience (preferable in the course creator and coaching space)
  • Experience managing over $10M in ad spend (individually or through a team)
  • Proven ability to analyze data and drive strategic decisions
  • Experience leading or supporting a team, ideally in a remote environment
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • High standards for performance, client results, and team collaboration

Compensation and Benefits

  • $100K USD base salary with up to $12K in performance bonuses annually
  • 1099 contractor
