Job Summary

Torticity is looking for a Quality Specialist, Medical QC with strong interpersonal, communication, time management, and organizational skills who will be highly motivated, accountable, and self-directed. This critical position includes a variety of quality control tasks, including case and medical record review. The ideal candidate will excel at maintaining high-quality standards by inspecting the accuracy of data and records, while ensuring that review agents uphold criteria and follow the assigned tasks and processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate medical record chronologies, ensuring that content is correct and complete.
  • Perform quality control audits to ensure accuracy across each function.
  • Analyze case reviews, investigate missing information, and document next steps.
  • Track and report errors and inconsistencies, and provide recommendations to rectify.
  • Maintain audit log and communicate results with Manager.
  • Recommend cases for approval or discharge.
  • Assist the Quality Manager with developing, implementing, and maintaining systems and procedures.
  • Continually evaluate processes and procedures and make suggestions for improvement.
  • Maintain a confidential, HIPAA-compliant environment.
  • Communicate with other departments ensuring fluid movement of a case.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Valid RN or NP License.
  • 5+ years of experience in a clinical setting.
  • Strong clinical knowledge with inpatient experience.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, or similar).
  • Experience with Microsoft 365, Outlook, Google Sheets, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

What You Bring

  • Proficient understanding of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, medications and laboratory tests, and disease processes with the ability to explain a medical condition or diagnosis.
  • Exceptional writing skills with the ability to prepare detailed, accurate, and compelling case documentation.
  • Excellent organization, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills to meet high demands
  • Ability to work on complex projects with general direction and minimal guidance.
  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to multitask and prioritize workload, with the flexibility to pivot to different projects with little notice.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

We're Excited Because You Have

  • Medical record review and chronology drafting experience.
  • Advanced technology data extraction experience.
  • Previous legal experience in Plaintiff product liability, defective drugs, or personal injury.
  • Knowledge of Spanish language.
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Experience in pediatric and adult care and/or oncology.

💰 Salary Range: $70,000 - $75,000 USD
