Role Summary:
We are seeking a Senior QA / QA Lead with expertise in Accounting/Billing or Utilities or Accounting & Finance to support the testing and quality assurance of technology solutions within these domains. The ideal candidate will manage and lead testing activities, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software that meets the business requirements and technical specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of both IT testing methodologies and the unique needs of finance and utility sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all testing efforts within the Billing / Utilities / Accounting & Finance domain
- Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to define testing requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives
- Design and implement test strategies, test plans, and test cases for complex software systems
- Oversee and execute functional, integration, regression, and performance tests to ensure the quality of the final product
- Analyze test results, track defects, and work with the development team to resolve issues in a timely manner
- Provide regular reporting on test progress, defects, and quality metrics to management
- Manage and mentor junior testers, fostering a collaborative and efficient testing environment
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Proven experience in software testing, preferably in the Billing / Utilities / Accounting & Finance sectors
- Strong experience with manual and automated testing, test case design, and defect tracking tools
- Familiarity with testing methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid models
- Experience with testing financial systems, utility billing systems, or enterprise resource planning (ERP) software is highly preferred
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
