Role Overview

This is a remote position open to candidates in the USA. You will own vertical web applications from idea to production, integrating AI capabilities across various industries such as Healthcare, Political, and Retail.

Responsibilities

• Own vertical web applications from idea to production, including product ownership, architecture design, development, shipping, and operation.
• Architect backend services using Python, Java, Ruby, or Node.js, emphasizing simplicity and reusability across verticals.
• Develop polished frontend experiences with React/TypeScript/Ant Design System, ensuring seamless integration with backend APIs (REST, Thrift).
• Implement continuous delivery through CI/CD pipelines, focusing on observability, resilience, and reliability.
• Utilize AI-assisted development tools to enhance workflow speed and maintain high quality.
• Integrate AI/LLM capabilities into vertical applications to unlock new domain-specific possibilities.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, mentor fellow engineers, lead technical initiatives, and clarify complex decisions for diverse audiences.

Skills Required

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with a proven track record of owning and operating built systems.
• Deep proficiency in at least two of the following languages: Python, Java, Ruby, or Node.js.
• Solid frontend development skills in React and TypeScript.
• Demonstrated experience with continuous delivery, test-driven development, agile methodologies, and shift-left practices.
• Experience building and operating scalable, distributed, high-performance systems in multi-tenant, compliant environments.
• Proficiency in using AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code, Gemini, Codex).
• Strong communication skills, with experience collaborating directly with product owners, proposing architectures, and building team consensus.
• Enthusiasm for learning new domains and collaborating with skilled professionals.
• Experience in MarTech or AdTech (DSPs, bid stream processing, data-intensive platforms) is a plus.
• Domain knowledge in Healthcare, Political, or Retail verticals is advantageous.
