About the Role

ZimZee Recruiting is looking for an Account Manager to support business development efforts within the aerospace and aviation power solutions sector. This remote role focuses on managing OEM relationships, identifying new product opportunities, supporting long-term program growth, and serving as a strategic customer partner across commercial, defense, and advanced air mobility markets. The ideal candidate brings aviation industry experience, strong technical sales capability, and a track record of managing complex customer programs from opportunity development through contract execution.

Skills and Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years of direct aviation industry experience (avionics, aircraft electrical systems, or power solutions preferred)
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineer or related field
  • Proven success managing OEM customer relationships and long-cycle technical sales programs
  • Strong negotiation experience with contracts, proposals, and long-term agreements
  • Ability to interpret technical requirements and translate them into customer-focused solutions
  • Experience responding to RFPs and developing compliance matrices and proposals
  • Knowledge of aerospace market dynamics, product positioning, and competitive strategy
  • Demonstrated project/program coordination skills across internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent presentation and executive-level communication skills

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and expand relationships with OEM customers to drive new business opportunities and long-term program growth
  • Lead proposal development efforts including RFP responses, compliance documentation, and solution positioning
  • Negotiate and execute contracts supporting strategic aviation programs and partnerships
  • Identify emerging industry trends, competitive activity, and product opportunities within aerospace power and avionics markets
  • Serve as the primary liaison between customers and internal engineering, program, and leadership teams
  • Deliver technical sales presentations and coordinate customer engagements, demonstrations, and training initiatives
