This role supports current and upcoming remote consulting opportunities focused on creating rigorous, domain-specific problems for advanced AI research and evaluation workflows. Selected professionals will apply their academic and research expertise to develop challenging technical tasks, produce clear reference solutions, review complex outputs, and contribute high-quality scientific and analytical materials.
Key Responsibilities
Advanced Problem Development
- Create challenging problems grounded in a specialised STEM discipline
- Develop tasks requiring advanced technical reasoning, research-level knowledge, and multi-step analysis
- Ensure problems are original, well-defined, appropriately difficult, and scientifically accurate
- Calibrate task complexity against graduate, doctoral, and professional research standards
Reference Solution Creation
- Produce clear, rigorous, and complete reference solutions
- Explain technical reasoning, assumptions, methodologies, and conclusions in structured written English
- Include relevant calculations, proofs, derivations, experimental reasoning, or computational approaches
- Review supporting materials for correctness, clarity, and internal consistency
Scientific & Technical Evaluation
- Assess technical outputs for accuracy, completeness, logical consistency, and appropriate use of domain knowledge
- Identify unsupported conclusions, methodological weaknesses, calculation errors, and reasoning gaps
- Apply consistent evaluation criteria across complex research-level tasks
- Document review decisions clearly and support judgments with technical evidence
Quality Review & Collaboration
- Review problems and solutions created by other subject-matter experts
- Provide constructive feedback on scientific rigor, difficulty, clarity, and relevance
- Incorporate project guidance and calibration feedback into future work
