Role Description

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a full-time, remote executive role responsible for overseeing all financial operations, planning, and strategy at AB Investment Group. The CFO will lead the development of financial plans and budgets, monitor performance against targets, and provide strategic recommendations to the executive team and board.

Daily responsibilities include:

  • Managing financial reporting and analysis.
  • Overseeing the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and accounting standards.
  • Supervising finance and accounting teams.
  • Optimizing cash flow and capital structure.
  • Supporting investment decision-making through robust financial modeling and scenario analysis.
  • Establishing internal controls, managing relationships with auditors, banks, and external partners.
  • Driving process improvements to support scalable growth.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Finance with proven experience in senior financial leadership roles, ideally within investment, asset management, or related financial services.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Financial Planning, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial modeling to support strategic decision-making.
  • Deep knowledge of Financial Statements and Financial Reporting, with the ability to oversee accurate preparation, consolidation, and presentation of financial results.
  • Advanced Analytical Skills, including the ability to interpret complex financial data, assess risk, and present clear insights to executive stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with financial systems and tools (e.g., ERP, accounting software, BI/reporting tools) and comfort working in a technology-enabled, remote environment.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with experience building and mentoring high-performing finance teams.
  • Thorough understanding of regulatory requirements, accounting standards (e.g., GAAP or IFRS), internal controls, and audit practices.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA or similar) and/or professional credentials (e.g., CPA, CFA) are strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fully remote setting, manage priorities across time zones, and collaborate with cross-functional and executive partners.
