Salesforce Developer

Location: Phoenix, AZ (Hybrid: remote and 1110 W. Washington St., Suite #310 - Phoenix, AZ 85007) Client: State of AZ Position ID: 10899

The Application Developer will focus on developing quality software using best practices in architecture, coding, and development processes. This role involves collaborating with Business Analysts and functional users to define requirements, providing customization, maintenance, and updates. The developer will also work with cross-functional teams to support application development and testing environments.

As a Salesforce developer, you will identify, design, and deploy technology and process solutions to establish key business capabilities and operational improvements for the Department. A hybrid work schedule is available.

Responsibilities:

  • Creating, implementing, and maintaining applications on platforms including Salesforce, MuleSoft, Microsoft SQL, and Oracle.
  • Performing deep dive analysis and reverse engineering of existing code for fixes and enhancements.
  • Participating in project teams for the planning, design, development, and implementation of new applications.
  • Ensuring existing interfaces and programs comply with technology directives, statutes, regulations, and rules.
  • Writing technical documentation for application specifications.
  • Maintaining effective working relationships to improve agency systems.
  • Developing and applying business knowledge in one or more functional areas.

Experience:

  • Collaborated with business stakeholders to implement agency-critical solutions on the Salesforce Platform using Agile methodologies and source control.
  • Assessed existing systems and refactored/redesigned them for optimal solutions.

Knowledge:

  • Proficiency in developing Salesforce Public Sector Solutions applications and APIs.
  • Advanced knowledge in developing MuleSoft integrations.
  • Experience with relational databases such as Oracle and SQL Server.

Skills:

  • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
  • Salesforce development, configuration, and administration.
  • Effective written and verbal communication.
  • Detail-oriented approach to complex analysis and customer-centric problem resolution.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to balance and organize multiple tasks to meet project deadlines.
  • Translating complex technical and regulatory information for diverse audiences.
  • Working effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Synthesizing feedback and adjusting plans accordingly.

Selective Preference(s):

  • Active Salesforce Platform Developer I Certification.
  • Salesforce Certified Public Sector Solutions Consultant certification (highly preferred).
  • Active Salesforce Advanced Developer or Platform Developer II Certification (a plus).
  • Experience in Salesforce DevOps platforms (e.g., Copado).
  • Experience using OmniStudio for guided user experiences.
  • Experience using Mulesoft Anypoint Platform for API design, implementation, and integration.

Pre-Employment Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or 7 years of developer experience.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience as a lead developer on one or more Salesforce implementations.
