About the Role

ABLSoft is hiring a Technical ABL Solutions Consultant, Pre-Sales to help banks, private credit funds, commercial finance companies, and specialty lenders evaluate our platform for asset-based lending workflows.

This is a client-facing pre-sales role for someone who is comfortable with technology and has some exposure to asset-based lending, commercial finance, lending operations, credit technology, or financial services software.

You do not need to be a career ABL underwriter or field examiner. We are looking for someone who is curious, technical, commercially aware, and able to understand how lenders manage borrowing bases, collateral reporting, field exams, covenant monitoring, exceptions, and portfolio risk.

The right person will be able to learn the ABL workflow, understand client pain points, demonstrate the platform, answer practical product questions, and help prospects see how technology can improve their lending operations.

This is not a generic software sales role, and it is not a software engineering role. It sits in the middle: part product expert, part client advisor, part technical problem-solver, and part pre-sales partner.

What You'll Do

  • Partner with the sales team throughout the pre-sales process, from discovery through product evaluation and close
  • Lead or support discovery conversations with lenders to understand workflows, pain points, data needs, reporting requirements, and operational challenges
  • Deliver tailored product demonstrations that connect platform functionality to real-world ABL and commercial lending use cases
  • Explain how ABLSoft supports borrowing base reporting, collateral monitoring, lender reporting, field exam workflows, exception management, and portfolio oversight
  • Help prospects understand how our platform fits into their existing systems, data flows, reporting processes, and credit operations
  • Work with prospects to understand current-state workflows and map them to future-state product solutions
  • Answer product, workflow, configuration, data, reporting, and implementation-related questions during the sales process
  • Support follow-up conversations, proposals, RFPs, proof-of-concept projects, client presentations, and technical walkthroughs
  • Partner with product, implementation, and customer success teams to ensure prospect needs are clearly understood
  • Translate prospect feedback into product, implementation, and roadmap insights
  • Help create demo scripts, workflow examples, sales materials, client-facing collateral, and internal training content

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who is more technical than a traditional salesperson and more client-facing than a back-office analyst.

The ideal candidate may come from one of the following backgrounds:

  • Solutions Consultant or Sales Engineer in fintech, lending software, credit technology, or financial services software
  • Product Specialist or Implementation Consultant for a lending, banking, credit, or finance platform
  • ABL Underwriter, Field Examiner, Collateral Analyst, or Portfolio Analyst with strong technology skills
  • Commercial lending, specialty finance, or private credit professional who enjoys systems, reporting, data, and workflow improvement
  • Credit operations or lending operations professional who has worked with borrower portals, reporting tools, loan systems, or collateral monitoring platforms
  • Fintech professional with exposure to ABL, commercial lending, secured lending, or credit workflows

Technical Comfort

You do not need to be a developer, but you should be comfortable with software and data-driven workflows. Helpful technical experience includes:

  • Working with SaaS platforms, fintech tools, lending systems, or financial software
  • Understanding how users move data between systems
  • Comfort discussing integrations, data imports, exports, reporting, dashboards, and configurable workflows
  • Strong Excel skills or experience working with structured financial data
  • Ability to troubleshoot product questions and explain software clearly to non-technical users
  • Familiarity with APIs, SQL, data mapping, or system implementation is a plus, but not required

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in fintech, lending, commercial finance, credit operations, financial services software, implementation, solutions consulting, or a related field
  • Some exposure to asset-based lending, commercial lending, secured lending, specialty finance, or credit workflows
  • Strong interest in technology, workflow improvement, and modernizing lending operations
  • Ability to understand client requirements and translate them into product demonstrations and solution recommendations
  • Comfort presenting to clients and answering detailed product or workflow questions
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Commercial instincts and the ability to help move qualified opportunities forward
  • Ability to build credibility with credit, operations, risk, portfolio, relationship management, and executive stakeholders
