About Our Client
Our Client is building the operating system for Communications Service Providers --- the telcos and ISPs powering how the world connects. Their platform handles billing, operations, and automation across the stack, and it's becoming the modern, customer-obsessed alternative to legacy telco software. The team is fully remote, founder-led, and relentlessly transparent, with a culture built around real ownership and genuine care for the people doing the work.
About the Role
This is a net-new Director seat reporting to the VP of Product. You'll operate as the VP's force multiplier --- co-owning roadmap prioritization, leading high-priority initiatives when a second owner is needed, and elevating the craft across a growing PM function. You'll manage a small team of PMs directly, step into cross-squad work when it matters most, and define what a PM at Our Client looks like in 2026 and beyond. AI isn't a side interest here --- it's how the team works. You should already be wired that way.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage, coach, and develop a team of 2--3 PMs (with potential to grow), running 1:1s, craft feedback, and growth plans
- Raise the PM quality bar across the org --- not just on your direct reports
- Partner closely with the VP of Product as a trusted thought partner on roadmap, quarterly planning, and product leadership decisions
- Own cross-squad initiatives that don't fit neatly inside one team, driving scope, timelines, and alignment end to end
- Facilitate trade-off conversations when squads have intersecting or conflicting priorities
- Represent Product in cross-functional discussions with Engineering, Customer Success, Sales, and Operations
- Build and evolve the rituals, tooling, and systems that make the product team run well --- planning cadences, decision frameworks, discovery standards, and outcome tracking
- Design and share AI-powered workflows for discovery, analysis, writing, and decision-making
- Ship real prototypes --- not just slide decks --- and coach PMs on integrating AI as a core competency
Qualifications
- 7 years in Product Management, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead PM role
- Direct experience managing and developing other Product Managers
- B2B SaaS background, ideally on a complex, multi-module platform
- Proven track record partnering with VP- or C-level product leaders on strategy and execution
- Demonstrated AI-native workflows in your day-to-day work --- built-and-shipped examples, not surface-level experimentation
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives that span multiple teams or product areas
- Product Ops chops --- you've built or meaningfully improved planning rituals, decision frameworks, or team operating systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- An owner/GM mindset --- you treat the business like it's yours
Nice to have:
- Telecom, ISP, or CSP industry experience
- French language ability
- Experience at Series A--C stage companies
- A track record of building internal AI tooling or prototypes
Benefits
- Fully remote work environment
- Flexible vacation policy
- Telemedicine coverage
