Job Description
We are seeking a skilled PCB Layout Designer to support our satellite constellation program. As a Senior PCB Design Engineer, you will be involved in defining and implementing various spacecraft subsystems, contributing to all phases of system design and production. This role requires a blend of PCB design, assembly, testing, fabrication knowledge, and the ability to work cross-functionally within teams.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the definition and implementation of spacecraft subsystems.
- Engage in all phases of system design and production.
- Utilize PCB design, assembly, test, and fabrication knowledge.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency with industry-standard PCB design tools such as Cadence Allegro, Mentor Graphics, and Xpedition.
- At least 7 years of experience in PCB layout design.
- Experience in high-speed circuit design and high current density designs.
- Experience managing multiple projects and third-party layout services.
- Skill in testing and debugging boards using standard electronics lab equipment.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience of 10 years in PCB layout design is preferred.
- Experience in developing PCBs for space environments.
- Knowledge of PCB failure modes and reliability in extreme environments.
- Experience as a technical lead for small teams of PCB design engineers.
- Experience developing IPC class 2 and 3 boards.
- Ability to participate in schematic and design reviews.
- Familiarity with Hyperlinx and EDM processes is a plus.

This position offers the flexibility of working remotely, allowing for collaboration with cross-functional technical teams from the comfort of your home.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Redmond, WA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $80.00/hr.
