About the Role

Join a dynamic insurance company as a Pharmacy Technician, specializing in MedPharma. You will work primarily with Medicare patients, focusing on the Prior Authorization of injectables. This role involves handling the intake process for prior authorizations, setting up cases in the system, and eventually training to review authorizations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the intake process for MedPharma prior authorizations.

  • Set up prior authorizations in the system and forward them to review technicians.

  • Read and understand insurance criteria and documentation.

  • Utilize Microsoft Suite for data entry and processing.

  • Collaborate with team members to handle appeals, managed care, claims, and denials.

Essential Skills

  • Active state or national Pharmacy Technician license.

  • Experience in managed care and pharmacy operations.

  • Prior Authorization experience, particularly with Medicare and Medicaid.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Proficiency in data entry.

  • Experience in reviewing insurance appeals and claims.

Work Environment

This position is fully remote and requires working in a closed-door setting with minimal distractions to ensure HIPAA compliance.

Training Schedule (6 weeks)

Monday to Friday, 10 AM to 6:30 PM EST.

Post-Training Schedule

Tuesday to Friday from 12:30 PM to 9 PM EST, Saturday from 8 AM to 4:30 PM EST.

Lunch breaks range from 30 minutes to an hour. Holiday coverage is rotated among team members once fully trained.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Nashville, TN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
