Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and coordinate the work of single or multidisciplinary teams throughout the full project lifecycle, from initiation to close-out. This role involves managing staffing plans, balancing workloads, and ensuring the timely completion of all project deliverables.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate work sessions with team members and stakeholders to support the development of project deliverables.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Participate in marketing efforts, proposal development, and contractual negotiations.
  • Oversee multiple small to medium projects concurrently, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, and quality expectations.
  • Implement and uphold QA/QC procedures across all project phases.
  • Monitor project progress and adjust team efforts as needed to maintain schedule and quality standards.
  • Track and manage the financial performance of assigned projects.
  • Coordinate with teams to ensure work remains within approved budgets and timelines.
  • Collaborate with Accounting, Operations, and Business Leadership during periodic project reviews.

Essential Skills

  • 2 years of project management experience.
  • 7 years of overall experience in the industry.
  • Substation project experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
  • Professional Engineering License (PE) required.
  • Experience in MS Office and MS Project.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Masters or PMP Certification is a plus.
  • Experience in Access is a plus.
  • Substation design and utilities engineering.
  • Transmission and power delivery experience.

Work Environment

The position is based in the Downtown Chicago office, located on the 27th floor, offering beautiful views and close access to public transportation such as the L and Metra train lines. The schedule requires a minimum of 3 days in the office per week for collaboration. The office, currently undergoing renovations for additional space and lobby revamp, is situated right on Wacker Drive along the Chicago River. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chicago, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52.88 - $84.13/hr.
